Lesson 1 Section A1-2: WHERE IS YOUR SCHOOL? (p.44)
OBJECTIVES:
Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Sts will
- be able to describe location and size of school.
- learn how to use the possessive case and some adjectives.
a. Grammar: Where is …? It is ….
Is it big? Yes. It is. / No, it isn`t
b. Vocabulary: in the country, in the city, big, small
Skills: Reading – Listening – Writing – Speaking
Attitude: By the end of the lesson, Sts will love and be proud of their school.
PREPARATION:
1. Teacher:
- Prepare lesson carefully: (teaching aids, make lesson plan by power point, book, laptop, sound).
2. Students:
- Prepare new lesson at home: (write new words; read text; translate the text into Vietnamese; answer questions).
- Paying attention to lesson seriously, listen to the teachers.
STEP FOR TEACHING:
Check old lesson: (5’)
T asks students to introduce about their family.

- T points to two the pictures on p.44 and introduce:
+ This is Phong’s school.
+ This is Thu’s school.
- T asks Sts to compare and guess about Thu`s and phong’s school.
Key:
Thu`s cshool: big , in the city
Phong`s school : small , in the country.
Checking the vocabulary:
- T points to the pictures and ask some questions.

- T asks Sts to discuss the questions A2 in pairs by asking and answering about Phong’s and Thu’s school.
- Sts change the roles to ask and answer continuously, some Sts write the answers on the board.

4. No, it isn`t. It is in the city.
- T can give some pictures and ask Sts to describe the pictures.
