UNIT 1: FREE TIME

Lesson 1 – Part 1: New words + Reading
I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Recognize the target words about “free time” (build models, bake cakes,
make vlogs, read comics, play online games, collect soccer stickers).
- Listen for specific information about teen's hobby.
- Apply some lexical items related to “free time” to deliver one - minute talk to
introduce free time's activities.
2. Competence
- Develop the linguistic competence and communicative competence through
using the lexical items related to the topic “free time”.
- Develop some abilities such as self- management, problem - solving and
collaboration.
3. Qualities:
- take up a useful hobby and spend a suitable amount of time on this hobby.
- build good habits for themselves and ditch bad ones.
II. TEACHING EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS:
- Materials: Text book, workbook, lesson plan
- Equipment: Laptop, TV.
III. TEACHING PROCESS:
A. Warm up:
a) Aims:
- To create a friendly and active atmosphere in the class before the lesson;
