I. Aim:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about things in the classroom.
II. Language contents:
1. Grammar:
Review: - This is....... / That is........
- Is this / that...................?
2. Vocabulary:
a door a window a board a clock a waste basket
a school bag a pencil a pen a ruler an eraser
III. Techniques:
- Rub out and Remember
- Game (Wordsquare)
- Pairworks / Groupworks
- Asking and answering
IV. Teaching aids:
pictures, realia, cassette, tape, papers.
V. Procedure:
Teacher`s and Students` activities
Content


- T. has Ss ask and answer each other about something in or around the class.
Ss work in pairs (silently and aloud)

- T. gives her idea.

- T. asks Ss to have a look at the pictures (p. 28, 29) and listen to the tape twice, then Ss repeat them after the tape.
- At the same time, T. writes new words on the board.
- T. asks Ss to listen to these words again, then reread them (choral, individual)



- T. corrects their pronunciation.

- T. introduces new patterns with some realias.
Ss listen carefully.
- T. helps Ss distinguish the way to use these two patterns.
- T. gives examples




- T. has Ss play a game"Wordsquare"
- T. divides class into 4 groups.
Ss practice finding some schoolthings in 3 minutes.
- Then T. calls each group to give their keys.
Ss read their words found aloud, and then write them on the board.



- T. corrects their mistakes.


- After that, T. has Ss practice asking and answering these patterns in pairs / groups of 4 students silently in 3 minutes.
- T. calls some pairs / groups of Ss to practice aloud (notice to change the roles)




- T. corrects Ss` mistakes and gives marks

- T. has Ss read the new words again (choral, individual)
- Then T. has Ss look at some pictures of things given by teacher and stick the names of things under the pictures.
Ss work in groups.
- T. gives her idea
- Then T. has Ss do exercises C3, p. 15-16
Ss work in pairs to ask and answer each other







- T. corrects their mistakes
