LISTEN & READ
I Aims:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the dialogue and use more verbs to talk about the housework.
II. Language contents:
1/ Grammar: -Reflexive pronoun
-Modal verbs: must, have to, ought to
2/ Vocabulary:
(n) Chore, saucepan, a steamer, rice cooker
III. Techniques:
Rub out and Remember, Kim’s game.
IV. Teaching aids:

T shows 6 pictures ( getting started) to Ss
Ss look at 6 pictures and try to remember the verbs in the pictures as many as possible.
Which team remembering more verbs is the winner
T gives Ss 10 marks if they’re right
T presents the new words and model sentence to Ss
Ss repeat and say the meaning
T checks Sts work by “rub out and remember”
T explains model sentence
Ss copy
T sets the scene “Mrs. Vui is busy. She will return home late. She asks Nam to help her with the housework
T has Sts to guess the answers in groups
Ps give the keys
T lets Sts to listen to the tape twice
