Period 82 Unit 13: ACTIVITIES
Lesson 4: B/Come and play (B1,2)
A/ Aims:
To help students develop their macro skills of the language such as listening, and speaking.
To help students improve their soft skills in the combination of different classroom activities and in the combination of other subjects like Music, and Physical education.
B/ Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, the students will have been able to:
Do a listening task (circling the correct answers) designed by the teacher and then answer the questions ( a,b,c and d) in B1 in the full sentences.
Learn how to make a dialogue in the content consisting of invitation, refusal, reason for refusal and rearrangement.
Make similar dialogues.
C/ Ways of working:

E/ Materials: Textbook, a set of computer, blackboard, chalk, poster, …
F/ Anticipated problems: The weaker students may have difficulty in making similar dialouges.
Sollution: - The teacher should give the students, especially weaker ones , clear guides and should ask the better ones to do first so that the weaker ones can follow.

- Greets Ss and checks the class’ attendance

- Lets the class watch a video of an English song about the sports and remember the names of the sports that they can get in the song
- Divides the class into two groups and complete the word web


- Gives the answer key

















- Presents the new items


- Checks the class’ understanding of the new words



- Uses the above gap-filling exercise to elicit the usage and form of modal “ought to”
- Sets the scene for the dialogue in B1
“Who’s he?”



- Lets the class do a listening task







-Checks the class’ listening work
- Gives the key

-“ Open your textbooks, look at the dialogue in B1, listen to the tape and check the key”
-“Please answer the questions in the full sentences”
- Calls 2 pairs to read the dialogue in B1 in front of the class

- “ Look at the sample 1 and the sample 2. Which sample is the dialogue (B1) in?



- Lets the class listen and read the dialogue in B2
Lets the class read the dialogue in B2
- “ Which sample is the dialogue (B2) in?
- Calls one pair to read the dialogue in front of the class
- Asks the class to change the underlined details, using the information given





- “A small game for you to relax!”
- Gives these students good marks if they do the task well











- Gets the Ss to make their own dialogues
- Calls some pairs to demonstrate their dialogues in front of the class
- Gives these students good marks for their good work


- Greet the teacher




- Watch, listen and remember the names of the sports in the song







-Work in groups






- Team 1 checks Team 2’s work and vice versa. The team with more correct words will be the winner









- Get ready for the new lesson


- Learn and write them down
