UNIT 13 : ACTIVITIES
B – Come and play ( B2 )
I. Aims:
-The students will continue to practice in making , accepting and refusing an invitation , using modal verbs .
- Focus on reading & writing skill .
II. Teaching Aids:
Extra boards. Pictures , tape.
III. Procedures:
1.Class organization:
Greetings.
Checking the attendances.
2.Review of the previous lesson:
Have Ss practice using modal verbs : one student gives the situation , one gives the advice .
EX: S1: I’m very cold .
S2: You should stay inside , you shouldn’t go out .
3.New lesson:

Content
-Introduce the situation of the lesson .
-Ask Ss to look at the books and listen to the tape .
-Have Ss work in pairs reading the dialogue .
-Call on 2 or 3 pairs to practice in front of the class .
-Correct the pronunciation.
-Ask Ss to make similar dialogues using the cues given in the box replacing the underlined words .
-Have Ss work in pairs .
-Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class .
-Correct the mistakes if necessary .
-Ask Ss to make their own dialogues , using the 3 pictures in the bottom .
-Give some cues ;
-Listen to the teacher .
-Look at the book and listen to the tape .
-Work in pairs .
-Practice in front of the class.
-Make similar dialogues , using given words .
-Listen .
-Work in pairs .
-Practice in front of the class .
-Make 3 dialogues , using the pictures at the bottom .
-Using some cues .
-Work in pairs .
-Some pairs practice in front of the class .

S1: Come and play volleyball.
S2: I’m sorry . I don’t think I can .
S1: That’s too bad . Why not ?
S2: Well, I should visit my grandmother .
S1: Can you play on the weekend
S2: Yes, I can .

S2: Ok. Bye .
S1: Bye .
4.Consolidation:
Practice these dialogues more fluently.
5.Homework:
-Copy the answers in the notebooks.
-Prepare Unit 13: (B3)
