- Set up the scene:“ You are visiting your friends or relatives in another part of Viet Nam or in a different country”
- Explain to write a personal letter:
-Ask Ss to read the outline of the letter.
- Gives the students some questions and asks them to answer in pairs.
1.Where did you visit?
2.When did you arrive?
3.Who met you at the airport/bus/train station?
4.What have you done?
-Which places have you visited?
-Who have you met?
-What kinds of food have you eaten?
-What have you bought?
5.How do you feel now?
6.What do you think interest most?
7.When are you returning home?
- Calls one or two students to tell about their trips.
- Reminds the students of the format of a personal letter by asking the question:

Dear Mum,
I arrived at Giap Bat station at 10am on Sunday. Lan met me at the bus station, then she took me home by bicycle.
I’ve visited to many places like Hoan Kiem lake, Van Mieu, President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and Ho Tay water park. I’ve tried “BunCha”. It’s delicious. Tomorrow, Lan will take me to The Ancient Quarter of HaNoi and do shopping there. I’ll buy some souvenirs for you.
I fell so happy and enjoy myself very much. The people here are so friendly. The sights are so beautiful. I will leave Ha Noi next week.
Please pick me up at the bus station at 2pm on Thursday.
