LESSON4: WRITE
I.Aim
-By the end of the lesson, students will be able to write a short paragraph describing a story happened in the past – a picnic in the countryside.
II.Language contents :
-Grammar: review : past simple.
-Vocabulary: lay out, gather, blanket, pinic site.

- Ordering, matching.

Content
-T. has ss match the verbs to their past forms. Ss match.
-T. observes, then marks.
-T.presents the lesson. Ss listen.
-T.presents new words with pictures, mime, reads them twice . Ss listen twice, read them aloud and copy the words in their notebooks.
-T. observes students’ pronunciation, then T. gives examples with new words. Ss take notes.
-T. has ss match the words to their meanings. Ss match.
-T. observes.
-T. sticks the pictures on the board, then gives cue words, T. has ss practice in pairs to tell about “ a country picnic”, basing on the cue words. Ss work in pairs.
-T. moves around the class to guide ss to practice. Ss take notes.
-T. has ss tell about “ country picnic”. Ss tell it ( each student only tell a picture)
-T. observes.
-T. has ss work in pairs to write a passage. Ss work in pairs. ( two students write their passage on the subboard)

It was a beautiful day, my friends and I decided to go on a picnic. We took a bus to the countryside and then walked about 20 minutes to the picnic site next to the river . We put down the blankets and laid out the food. After meal we played the games “ what song is it?” and blind man’s buff. Late in the afternoon , we went fishing. We enjoyed our picnic. When we look at the time, it was nearly 6.30 pm.We hurriedly gathered our things and ran to the bus stop. We were lucky to catch the last bus and we arrived home very late in the evening.

-Correcting the paragraph.

-Rewite the passage, resee the past simple
with wish ( unit 1).
