Lesson 1 : Getting started - Listen and Read

I. Aims: To help ss to know the situation which require first- aid.
● Objective: By the end of the lesson , Ss can know what they would do in the situation which require first- aidand use the form of requests with “will”
II. Materials: Text book, posters, pictures.
III. Ways of working: individual, pair , group work .

V. Procedure:
1. Warmer: Kim’s game for “ Getting started ”
Ss look at the things on page 80 for 20’’. Tell them these things are often use for first-aid
T : divide the class into two groups. Ask Ss to close their books and go to the board to write the names of the things they ‘ve just seen from memory
T: asks Ss to discuss and write down what they would do in these situations which require first- aid
Ss : work in groups of four to give their answers T: correct the mistakes

- Ss: read the text and find the words to fill in the gaps
“ There was an emergency at Lan’s school . A student..(1)..... off her bike and hit her head on the road. She was .. (2).... but she cut her head and the ..(3)....was (4)......badly. Lan telephone BachMai hospital and ask them to send an ..(5)...to Quang Trung School. Lan was asked to keep the student....(6).... while waiting the ambulance.”
T: asks Ss to predict the words in the gaps and calls on some Ss to go to the board to write their words.
● Answer keys: Ss: act out the dialogue
- Ss play the roles to demonstrate the dialogue.
- Ss read the dialogue again and do the exercise 2 / page 81

T: asks Ss to pick out from the dialogue one sentence with the verb “ will “ in simple tense to help Ss review
Ss: I promise I’ ll keep her awake – The ambulance will be there in about 10 minutes.
T: ( Form : S + will + V inf ............................ to express an action happening in the future.
T: gives Ss some more exercises . Use the verbs in the correct form
