UNIT 10 : HEALTH AND HYGIENE
LESSON 1: A- PERSONAL HYGIENE ( A1,4 )
A. OBJECTIVES.
1.Knowledge :
By the end of the lesson, Ss will read a letter to understand the details about Hoa and her family. They will continue practicing the simple present and the simple past tenses .
Language content.
Vocabulary :
- Words related to the topic about personal hygiene.
Grammar :
- The simple present tense
- The simple past tense .
2. Skills: reading, writing, using the language.
3. Attitude:
- be aware of how to keep hygiene.
- Students will have responsibility keeping personal hygiene.
B. MATERIALS:
1.Teacher: Textbooks, teaching plan, lap top.
2. Students: Textbooks, notebook, pen.

II.Activitiy 2: Pre-reading (13’)
1.Vocabulary
Introduce the lesson then explain some new words :
+ `harvest ( n ): mùa vụ
+ `helpful ( adj ) : có ích
+ to take morning exercises : tập TD sáng
+ to hope ( v ): hi vọng
+ to `iron ( v ): là
+ `probably ( adv ) :có lẽ
Have Ss read new words in chorus and individually .
Correct their pronunciation .
Checking: Have Ss play a game : what and where in order to check new words .
2.Presentation dialogue:
- Ask students to predict the content of the letter by ordering the sentences of Hoa’s mom’s letter:
Your dad and I hope you’re fine .
I hope you’re taking care of yourself .
I received a letter from your aunt last week .
I miss you a lot .
Don’t forget to write .
Your grandfather talks about you a lot .
Call some Ss to give their predictions .
-Listen to T eliciting the words.
- Listen and repeat chorally/ individually, practice the words and copy down.
- predict the content of the letter by ordering the sentences of Hoa’s mom’s letter:
- Help Ss understand more about the content of the letter.
III. Activity 3. While - reading (15`)
1. Ckecking prediction.
Ask Ss to look at the then check their predictions .
Call some Ss to give the answers
Correct and give the correct answers :
1- a 2- f 3- c 4- b 5- d 6- e
Call on some Ss to read the letter in front of the class .
Correct their pronunciation .
Ask Ss to read the letter again then find out the answers for the questions in the book .
Have Ss work in pairs .
2. Answering the questions

Have Ss play a game called lucky numbers :
Who helps Hoa’s parents on the farm ?
