- Say “Hello” to the whole class.
- Move around, shake students’ hands and say “Hello”.
- Encourage students to say Hello to you.
- Ask students to say Hello to the friend next to them as well as shake hands.

- Ask students to say Hi and Hello then shake hands when they hear the word HELLO.
- Practice singing the song.

• At level: Assign a character’s name to each member of the class, so that there are several Rosys,Tims, and Billys (using these finger puppets in Printable resources)

• Play the chant again. When children hear “their name,” they stand up and wave.
• Above level: Say the chant slowly and help the class memorize it.
• Repeat the chant quickly and encourage the class to say it with you at a faster pace.
• Continue in this way until the chant is so fast that children can’t keep up.
