A. Aims and objectives
- In this period, Ss practice listening and reading skills. They learn how to introduce one’s friends and respond to the introduction.
- After the lesson , Ss can:
+ Use the words and phrases related to the topic Are they your friends?
+ Introduce a friend , using This is my friend + (name)
+ Ask and answer about friends, using Are they your friends?
+ Listen and tick the pictures they hear.
+ Read and fill in the gaps
+ Write about themselves and their friends.
B. Materials
- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.
C. Contents and organization.
I. Warm up
- T and Ss greet.
II. Old lesson
- Revise : This is + name. Who’s that? It’s + name.
III. New lesson.
- T elicit name of the characters.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen and tick the boxes under the pictures.
- Show ss how to carry out the task and tick the boxes.
- Get ss focus on the names of the characters.
- Play the recording 2 times.
- Call ss to give the answers.
- Play the recording the last time.
- T give feedback
- Tell pls that they are going to read and fill the gaps. Check comprehensions.
- Ss do the task in pairs.
- Pls check their answer with their partners.
