UNIT 1: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS?
Period 1: Lesson 1: 1, 2, 3
I. Mục tiêu: Sau bài học, HS có thể: Hỏi và trả lời câu hỏi về địa chỉ của một ai đó.
II. Kiến thức ngôn ngữ:
1. Từ vựng: address, lane, tower
2. Ngữ pháp: What’s your address? It’s ….
3. Kĩ năng: Nghe, nói.

1. Warm up.
- Have Ss play "Slap the board", using the pictures and names of the characters that they have learn in TA 3, 4. When the game is over, get them to point at each picture and say sentences.
2. New lesson.
2.1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Have Ss look at the pictures. Introduce the story by pointing at each characters and answer some questions: Who’s this? What’s his/ her name? Is he/ she a new comer? Where’s he/ she from? …
- Play the recording. (twice).
- Play it again for them to repeat line by line.
- Point to each pic for them to say the words in each bubble.
2.2. Point and say.
- Tell the class that they’re going to practise asking and answering questions about one’s address, using: What’s your address? It’s ….
- Revise numbers 10 to 100.
- Point at each pic and ask the question: What’s your address? for Ss to answer chorally.
- Ask Ss practise asking and answering in pairs.
- Invite one or two pairs to speak to check their performance.
2.3. Let’s talk.
- Tell the class that they’re going to practise further by asking and answering questions about addresses. - Ask Ss to work in groups of four to ask each other’s addresses.
- Set a time limit for the class to practise.
- Invite a few Ss to repeat their interviews to the class.
3. Reinforcement.
- Consolidate the lesson.
4. Home-link:
- Ask pupils to learn by heart vocabulary and sentence patterns.

S1: Say: This is Mai. She’s from Viet Nam. She’s Vietnamese.

- Spend a few mins revising the story in Activity 1 by inviting three Ss to act out the story.

- Tell Ss that they’re going to listen to the tape and complete the addresses.
- Play the tape for Ss to listen.
- Play the tape again for Ss to do the task.
- Get Ss to compare their answers before checking as a class.
- Play the tape again for Ss to confirm the answers.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.
2.5. Read and complete.
- Give Ss a few seconds to read the sentences.
- Set a time limit for Ss to do the task independently.
- Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.
2.6. Let’s sing.
- Have Ss read the lyrics and teach the unfamiliar words.
- Play the tape all the way through for Ss to listen and follow in their books.
