I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students develop such listening skills as intensive listening for specific information and taking notes while listening.
- Students should know how to ask and say about famous football player’s background.
II. Teaching’s materials: textbook, the windows media player,…..

* key vocabulary : goal scorer, kick, retire, ambassador….

1.look at the pictures in the textbook. what do you know about them? (name, country).
2.Who do you like best? Why?
3 .Do you know anything about Pele?

+. How many goals did he get in his caeer?(1284 goals).
- listen their answers and correct it.

- ask students read the information in the table.
- play the windows media player and ask sts to listen three times.
+ The first time, ask sts try to write down only most important and relevant information.
+ The second time, ask sts to use the information they’ve noted and try to complete the table.
+ The third time, pause at each sentences for sts to complete all the table.
- give sts 1 min to complete the table.
- After 1 min, ask sts to give their answer.
- ask sts to give evidence to support their answers.
- play the windows media player again one by one to check sts’ answers.
