I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Knowledge:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to make some conversation about the Asian Games:
Asking for and giving infformation about the Asian Games.
Talk about the sports results.
2. Skills:
To help improve and develop speaking skill.
Students exchange their opinion to the class.
3. Attitudes:
Be aware of the Asian Games and feel interested in speaking about the Asian Games.

1. Teacher:
Teaching aids: textbook, lesson plan, computer, hanndouts, powerpoint.
Teaching method: Communicative language teaching.
2. Students:
Textbook.
Reading new lesson and looking up new words before going to class.

Pre – Speaking (13 minutes):
Task 1: Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about the Asian Games, using the information from the table below.
T calls 1 Ss to read the requirement of Task 1.
Explains the requirement of Task 1.
Remind Ss about the ordinal numbers.
Let Ss look at the example below.
A: When and where were the 2nd Asian Games held?
B: They were held in 1954 in Philippines.
A: How many countries took part in the Games?
B: Eighteen.
A: How many sports were there at the Games?
B: Eight.
T asks Ss about the tense when they talk about the event in the past: Use past tense to refer to events in the past.
Ask Ss about the kind of sentence when talk about year and place that the Asian Games were held: Use passive voice when talking about when and where the Asian Games took place.
T lets Ss practice speaking Task 1 with their partners in 3 minutes.
T calls on some pairs to read the dialogue

Task 2: Work in groups. Take turns to talk about the sports results of the Vietnamese athletes at 14th Asian Games, using the information from the table below.
T asks Ss to read the requirement of the task.
T explains the table then gives example:
A: How many medals did the Vietnames athlete win in bodybuilding?
B: Two medals.
A: What kinds of medals they get?
B: Well, they won one gold medal and one bronze.
Divides class into 4 groups to ask and answer about the sports results (into 5 minutes).
Call each groups go to the board talking about it.
