PART A: READING

Aims: help sts master a source of new words
Help sts develop reading skill for comprehension and details

II. Pre- reading: (10 ms)
- has sts answer the questions in their textbooks in pairs
- presents some new words:

+ What national parks are described? Where are they?
+ What are the most significant features of each of the national park?
III. While- reading: (20 ms)
Task 1:
- lets sts read three passages, notice the words that they have to give definitions
- asks sts to explain the definition into Vietnamese (if necessary)
- asks sts to close books. T reads aloud the definition, S give the words
Task 2:
- lets sts read the questions carefully(makes sure that all of them understand them), then has sts read the passages again and answer the questions
- calls a st in groups to answer aloud, others groups listen and correct
- gives comments and has sts to practice ask and answer again

- checks sts’ understanding by the game “Noughts - Crosses”:
+ Each square is a question
+ 2 groups in turn choose a Number and answer the questions. If it’s right, they put an “O” or an “X” in the square. Which group has 3 “O”/”X” on a line will be the winner
