Lesson 2
I. AIMS:
- By the end of this lesson, students will be able to introduce the rooms in a house.
- Develop speaking and reading skill.
- Teaching student to talk about the house.
II. TEACHING AIDS:
- Tape cassette, pictures, book, notebook, workbook.
A. Checking- up:
- T check the student’s notebook.
- Comment.
B. New lesson:
a. Warm up: - Count and write the numbers .
- Sing the song
b. Presentation:
1. Llisten and repeat.
- Have Ss look at the words kitchen and bedroom and notice the letters colored differently in both words . Introduce the sound of letter ch in the word kitchen and that of the letters r in the word bedroom.
- Read and have Ss recite the sounds ch and r.
- Present the new words : teddy bear , chair ,fast
- Play the recording through for sts to listen.
- Play the recording for sts to repeat each line .
- Call on Ss to the front of the class and read the chant
- Ask sts to work in group and practice.
- Call on some groups to recite the chant.
c. Production :
2. Look and say.
- Have the Ss to say again the rooms in a house.
- Have sts look at the pictures a , b , c, d on page 20. Elicit the rooms.
- Explain the the way to do in this part .
- Play the recording for sts to listen.
- Play the recording again for sts to listen, and number the right pictures .
- Replay the recording for sts to check their answer .
- Have sts to trade their answer in pairs for correction .
3. Read and tick.
- Have Ss look at the pictures on Page 21 and ask them to identify the rooms in the picture .
- Ask them to read the text in the frame then choose the flat that the text said about.
- Have Ss read the text.
- Ask Ss to practice presenting the rooms in a house.
- Call on some Ss to demonstrate at the front of the class.
4. Let’s sing.
- Guid Ss to sing the song.
