A. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and follow classroom instructions
with a positive attitude.
Competence:
- Me: recognize the importance of classroom disciplines and being nice
in class
- Act: follow the class rules and respect others

E. PROCEDURE
Warmer (2 minutes)
Ask students to sing “5 little ducks” song and act out.
Do the gestures/movements in front of the class and create a funny atmosphere.
Present (8 minutes)
Mime the action /use the PPT slides (optional) to introduce the new words (open your book,
close your book, stand up, sit down, raise your hands, keep silent)
Ask students to look at the pupils' book page 4, point and repeat
Read the words one more time and ask students to do the action along.
Practice (12 minutes)
1. Controlled practice (5 minutes)
1.1.
Do the action and ask students to say aloud in groups/individually
(Ask students to look at the PPT slides and call out the instructions in groups/individually)
1.2.
Game: “Simon says …”
Ask the whole class to do the action following teacher's instructions if the sentence includes
“Simon says …”. if it doesn't, students have to stand still
Ex: “Simon says: raise your hands” – Students raise their hands
“Sit down, please!” – Students don't do the action.
The students who lose the game have to sit down. The winners will get stickers when the
lesson ends.
2. Free practice (7 minutes)
2.1 . Game: Guessing game (4 minutes)
Divide class into 3-4 teams
Invite a student to come to the board to do an action and ask the others to guess the
instructions,
Whoever has the correct answer 1st will get a star for his/her team. The team that has more
star will be the winner.
The team that has the correct answer will get a star.
2.2 . Pairs work: point and say (3 minutes)
Ask students to work in pairs: one student points to a picture at pupil's book page 4 randomly
and the other has to call out the instruction.
Ask students to change the roles.
Productions (10 minutes)
1. Sing a song: “Funny class” (5 minutes)
Sing a song and act out, ask students to do the action following the lyrics:
“Funny class song” – Using “5 little ducks song” melody
Sit down, stand up and jump jump jump!
Open your book and raise your hands
Now please sit down and clap clap clap!
Then close your book and keep silence
2. Perform the song (5 minutes)
Divide class into groups of 5 students to practice singing the song; invite some groups
to come up and perform.
Wrap-up (3 minutes)
Review the classroom instructions that students have learned
Tell students about the value of being nice in the class as an action of respect teachers and
others as well.
Ask students to point to the pictures and say (pupils' book page 4) at home.
Sing “Goodbye song” and wave hands to students.
