1. Objectives: by the end of the lesson - Languages: Ss will be able to + use certain vocabulary items related to hobbies + gain more knowledge about some hobbies
- Skills: Ss will be able to:
+ develop the skill of guessing meaning of the words based on the context + improve reading skill such as skimming to get the main idea of each paragraph and scanning for specific information
2. Assumed knowledge:
- Ss are familiar with hobbies topic
3. Anticipated problems:
- Ss may not know many vocabulary items related to hobbies -> T provides Ss necessity vocabulary.
- Ssdon’t know how to scan and get specific information -> T should give them instruction

Today, we will read a short passage of a student talking about his hobbies.

Show picture of a skillful guitarist and explain that he is very good at playing guitar. I say: He is an accomplished guitarist.
Pronounce it twice and ask Ss to practice
Ask Ss to guess the meaning of accomplished.
