Unit 5: HIGHER EDUCATION
I. Objectives:
1. Educational aim: Every student should know about their first impressions of university life.
2. Knowledge:
- General knowledge: Students know about higher education
- Language: Verbs in past tense
- New words: Words related to higher education
3. Skills: • Vocabulary comprehension matching
• Arranging the sequence of an event
II. Method: Integrated, mainly communicative
III. Teaching aids: Student’s book, pictures, prọjector, etc.
IV. Procedure:
1. Warm-up:
- Ask some questions, students discuss and answer the questions
1. What are you going to do after you finish high school?
(Possible answer: After I finish high school, I’m going to apply for some universities
2. Which university would you like to attend?
(Possible answer: I would like to attend FTU ( Foreign trade university in HCMC )
3. Where will you live if you study at a university far from your house?
(Possible answer: If I study at a university far from my house, I will live in dormitory in my university
- Lead students to the new lesson: HIGHER EDUCATION
2.Before you read :
- Ask Students to work in pairs, ask and answer the following questions:

3.While you read
- Ask students to look through the passage and read in silence
