1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Has pupils turn their books to page 52.
- Asks Pupils the names of the characters and what they say.
- Tells them that they are going to hear Linda and Robbot ask and answer about the school thing.
- Use pupets to present the situation. Explain the meaning of the language practised.
a. Linda: This is my pen.
Robot: Is it?
Linda: Yes, it is.
b.Linda: That’s my rubber.
Robot: Is it?
Linda: Yes, it is.
- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
- Plays the recording for pupils to listen and say along.

2 Point and say.
- Tell pupils that they are going to practise saying This/That is…Give ps a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the words under them. Check comprehension and give feedback.
- Have ps repeat each word a few times.
+ Vocabulary: pen, rubber, pencil, pencil case, school bag, notebook, pencil sharpener, ruler, book.
+ Structure: This is my …………….. (school thing)

- Point to the first picture and elicit the word to fill the gap.
- Put the sentence on the board and have pupils repeat it a few times.
- Do choral and individual repeatition, using the pictures in the book or objects in the classroom.
- Get ps to practise in pairs. Check as a class.

3. Let’s talk
- Tell pupils that they are going to practise about the school things.
- Pupils could use the names in their books or their real school things to practise.
-Pupils practise acting out in group of three, using the pictures in their books or the character puppets. Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary. Correct typical prounciation errors.
-Calls on a group to demonstrate at the front of the class. The rest of the class watch and comment.
-Have whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.

- Ss play a game of Pelmanism using the vocabulary learnt in the previous lesson. Then have ps sing the song:
This is the way we go to school.

4. Listen and tick.
- Has pupils look at the pictures on page 53.
- Tells them to identify the characters in the pictures and guess what they are saying.
- Tells pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and match the information they hear to the pictures and tick the box in the appropriate picture.
- Plays the recording for pupils to listen as they look closely at the pictures in their books. while they are looking closely at the pictures in their books.
- Plays the recording again for pupils to listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Replays the recording for pupils to check their answers.
- Have pupils trade their answers in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
