Lesson 1 (A1 – A6)
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
- Knowledge: Ask and answer questions about someone’s address: What’s your address? It’s. .
+ Vocabulary: address, lane, tower, road.
+ Sentence patterns: What’s your address? It’s. .
- Skills: reading skill, listening skill, writing skill.
- Attitude: polite
II. Teaching aids: textbook, cassette, lesson plan.
III. Procedures:
1. Warm up:
Teacher: - Greeting class and asking them about some characters: Where is Mai/ Trung
from?
Set the sentence.
Give introduction of the text.
Pupils: - Greeting teacher and answering the question.
2. New lesson:
Period 1: A1 – A3.
*PRESENTATION.
*Pre – teach vocabulary :
Teacher: - Elicit the new words: address, lane, tower, road.
Get pupils to read all the new words in group then individually.
Pupils : - Write the words
Choral repetition.
Individually repetition.
Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat.
Teacher: - Elicit pupils to guess a situation of picture.
Read the dialouge first or listen to the tape.
Ask pupils to repeat in chorus three times.
Let pupils do pairwork to practice the dialouge.
Get some pairs to read it aloud.
Pupils: - Guess a situation of the picture.
Practice the dialogue.
*Presenting new structure:What’s your address? It’s. . . .
e.g: What’s your address? It’s 81, Tran Hung Dao Street.
Teacher: - Elicit pupils to pick out the model sentence.
Give the form on the board.
Explain the form meaning and use.
Pupils: - Copy down the form in notebooks.
Try to remember the form and use.
Activity 2. Point, ask and answer.

Teacher: - Ask pupils to work in pairs/ groups ask and answer questions about the
characters.
Call some pairs to desmonstrate the task in front of class.
Pupils:- Disscus about the pictures and then say about someone’s address
Period 2: A4 – A6
Activity 4. Listen and complete
Teacher: - Ask pupils to look at picture 1,2,3 and 4 on page 7 and answer the
questions: What’s your address?
Ask pupils to work in pairs to guess.
Get feedback from pupils and write pupil’s ideas on the board.
Ask pupils to listen the dialouge twice.
Ask pupils listen again and check their predictions.
Give answer key:
Pupils: - Guess.

Activity 5. Read and complete.
Teacher: - Ask students to read the passage and fill in the blanks.
Ask students to correct their answers in partners.
Provide the answers and explanations.
