- Develop speaking skill, do exercises in the book.

1/ Look, listen and repeat:
Ask students to look at the picture in the book and ask:
Who are they in the picture?
Where are they?
Ask students listen and repeat after the tape
Repeat again and read in pair
2. Look and say:
New words:

Good night
Check the words by slap the board game
Note: if you greet someone in the morning, you say: good morning
3/ Talk:
- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and work in pairs
- Call some pairs to act out
correct their pronoun

Present the situations in the pictures before listening

Learn by heart the new vocabulary and practice introducing yourselves
Prepare the next lesson 2.

Play the recording through for pupils to listen, play the recording again and pausing after each line for them to repeat. Make sure pupils can repeat and understand the dialogue.



Listen and repeat after the teacher
Models the target sentences then asks Ps to work in pairs.
Select some pairs of pupils to demonstrate the tasks in the front of the class.




Ask Ps to work in pairs
Select some pairs to role play the greetings and responses.

Ask Ps to listen the cassette and tick the correct picture.
Read out the answers to the class. Provide explanations when necessary.


Give out the sentence patterns again

Ask Ps to write down the homework then learn by heart at home.

I. Aims: Practice listening and numbering the pictures about greeting “Good morning/ afternoon ….” And self – introducing.
II. Objectives:
- By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able listen to the dialogue and tick on the pictures about greeting “Good morning/ afternoon…”
-Pupils will be able to pronounce correctly the sound of the letters ng and n.
III. Teaching methods:
- Communicative method.
- Techniques: + Work in pairs and individually
+ Ask and answer.
+ Work in groups, discuss.
IV. Teaching aids:
- aids: pictures, word cards, extra board, tape, cassette.
- aids: book, notebook, workbook.
