-Pupils will be able to ask and answer questions about common health problems

1.Look ,listen and repeat.
-Ask sts to open the book on page 6.Focus their attention on the title of the unit ,the pictures and the texts.Get sts to read the title of the unit and elicit their answers: Do
-Whole class opne the book on page 6.

-Have sts look at each picture and get them to identify the familiar characters and the new ones.Point to each picture and elicit pupils’anwers to what is happening in the picture.Pre-teach the new words: What’s the matter , headache, temperature ,take .using E and Vietnamese when necessary.
-write the new words on the board and get pupils to say the words a few times.
Make sure that pupils can understand the situation and language in this section.Play the recording for two times and ask sts to listen and repeat.
-Divide class into small group to take turns to say the lines from Tom .Mrs Green. Mr Green and the doctor.
2. Point ,ask and answer.
-Set the context: point to the picture on page 6
-Then ask sts to read the example and elicit their promps to complete the speech bubbles.
-Some sts answer some questions.


-Whole class look at each picture and discuss.









-All sts write newwords.

Write the question and answer on the board and get pupils to repeat the line a few times in turn.
- Use the flashcards or gestures to pre-teach the new words: earache , backache , toothache , sore throat stomatchache , cold.Go through the promps under the pictures and get sts to repeat each item a few times.
-“ache” is used to form a copound nuon like headache , toothache ,earache , stomatchache and backache.
-“ Hurt” is verb
- “ sore” is used in a noun phrase
- Pupils work in pairs to take turns to point to the pictures ,ask and answer questions about health promlems .
-Select a few pairs to perform the task in front of the class , using flashcards or the pictures in the Student’s book .
-call on some sts say before the class.

3. Listen and tick.
-Ask pupils to open the book on page 7.

Get pupis to look at the pictures and tell them the purpose of listening: you are going to listen to some people talking about their illnesses.You should tick the appropriate picture.
-Recall the familiar vocabularry and preteach the new one.Tell pupils not to worry if they do not understand every word.
-The teacher open the tape and ask them to listen and tick.
-Replay the recording for sts to check their answer.Get them to correct their answer in pairs.After that ,ask sts to report their answers to the class.

4. Talk.
-Ask sts to open the book on page 7.Get them to read the guiding question and observe the pictures .Make sure pupils understand the activity: They should select a girl or boy in the picture ,then assk and answer questions about his or her health problem.
