TEACHER INTRODUCES
“TIENG ANH 5” has 4 books. ( Two student books and two exercise books)
Each student book has 10 units. After 5 units has a review.
Each unit has 3 lessons
Each lesson has 4 parts
Ps read in chorus, in group and individual
Teacher corrects the mistakes of pronunciation
Make the game: Slap on the board.

- Checking vocab: What and where
- Setting the scene: ask Ps to identify the new characters in the pictures and introduce the situation (children from different countries are coming to a summer camp in Viet Nam)
- Playing the CD twice and asking Ps to repeat the dialogue sentence by sentence.
- Having Ps practice the dialogue in pairs, then invite some volunteers to play the roles in front of the class(Correct the pronunciation errors when necessary).
- Making some questions to check Ps’ comprehension of the language

Part 2 -Point, ask and answer:
Task cycle :
- Having Ps look at the pictures in part 2 and identify the characters as well as their city and country.
- Using the puppets to teach the names, the cities and the countries they are from
* Technique : T-Ps; Ps-T; P1-P2
- Doing the task: Have Ps practice in pairs to ask and answer questions about where someone is from, using the pictures given.
+ Inviting some Ps to ask and answer questions about where someone is from in front of the class.
