- In this period,Ss practise speaking.They learn how to greet each others formally.
- After the lesson ss will be able to greet others using “ Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening and Goodbye” and ask and answer the question “ How are you ?”.

- Ss: book Tieng anh 4
- T : stereo, teaching plan ,pictures
C. Contents and organization.

I. Warm up.
-Teacher say “ hello” and self-introduce.
II. Old lesson.


III.New lesson.

-T say “hello” and self-introduce.
-T ask Ss to say

Ss look at their books, page 6.
T ask the name of characters in the picture and what they say.
They greet each other.
T play the tape.
Ss listen and practise speaking.
T explain new words





-Ss look at the picture a,b,c,d and identify the characters in the pictures
-T teach the greeting.
-Ss practise speaking.
-Ss work in pairs and some pairs perform the task before the class.






IV.Consolidation
-T tell the time people meet
-Ss greet using “ Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening”
- T give the comments

_Have Ss look at the pictures on page 7 and ask them to identify the characters in the pictures.and then tell them that they are going to practise greeting
-T point the P.a and ask Ss to guess what the girl woukd say to greet other
-T fill the speech bubbles with the correct phrases provided by the Ss.
-T ask Ss to repeat the sentences in the bubbles.
-Ss practise acting out in pairs.
-T call on a pair to demonstrate at the front of the class.The others watch and comment.
-T ask Ss to repeat the phrases toreinforce their pronunciation.
