I. Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to asking and answer questions about someone’s birthday. Respond to the questions.
- Skills: listening, writing, reading
II - Language contents:
- Vocabulary: months in a year, birthday, cake, happy
- Sentence patterns: When is your birthday? - It’s on the fifth of March.
III - Teaching aids:
Teaching plan, English 4, workbook, pictures, chalk, board, crayons.…
IV - Teaching procedure:
1. Check attendance: Checking absence: - Who is absent to day?
2. Review the lesson: - Have pupils asking and answering about months in a year.

1.Warm up
- Play recording the chant: Months of the year
- Listen and chant.



2. New lesson:
- Have Ss look at the pictures in N 3 to identify the dates.
- Ask Ss to listen and tick.
- Have ss listen again and check.
- Call on some students to report the answers to the class.
- Check and correct.

- Have Ss look at the picture in part 4 (p. 27), name some dates and months there and set up the task.
- Have Ss listen twice.
- Call some Ss to say the answer in front of the class. Check the class.
- Have Ss listen again. Correct

- Have pupils look at the sentences and the pictuces (p27).
