1. Look, listen and repeat


- Ask.

- Read the title of the unit.

- Point at each picture and ask:
? Who is this
? What are they talking about
- Look at the pictures and answer



- Read sentence by sentence.
- Listen and repeat.

- Write the new vocabulary on the board.
- Voc. : headache, temprature, take
- Read few times.

- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
- Devide the class into groups.
- Ask.
- Listen.
- Listen and repeat.
- Read the dialogue in groups.
- Read in pairs.

2. Point, ask and answer


- Write a list of presents on the board.
Voc. : earache, backache, toothache, sore throat, stomachache, cold
Recall the familiar ones and pre-teach the new ones.

- Elicit the students` prompt.
- Write on the board.
- Structure:

- I`ve got a headache.
- Read the example.
- Complete the speech bubbles.
- Repeat a few times.

- Model the task with the whole class.

3. Listen and tick


- Ask.
- Look at the pictures.

- Elicit pupils` answer:

- Do the same with the others.
- Play the tape twice.
- Play the tape again.
- Check the answer.

4. Talk


- Make a model with one student
- Look and answer.

Lesson 2 - Tiết 3- 4
I. Objective:
Pupils will be able to pronounce correctly the sounds of the letters arm as in arm and those of the letter ear as in ear.
to listen and number the pictures in the order they hear.
II. Aids: - Student`s books. - Audio and visual aids: recordings.
III. Teaching – Learning Procedures

I. Warm up


- Display their homelink drawing of the body parts. Then they play the game Slap that word, using the words indicating the body parts.

II. Present the new lesson
1. Listen and repeat


- Ask.
- Draw their attention to the sounds of the letters arm as in arm and those of the letter ear as in ear.
- Read.
- Open the books.



- Listen and repeat a few times.

2. Listen and read together


- Read each line, clap your hand: one clap for the words for arm, farm and two claps for the words ear, appear, hear, clear.


- Play the recording twice.
- Listen for the 1st time. Listen and repeat, clap at the focus words.

3. Group and say aloud


- Ask.
- Look at the chart and the word box.

- Check if the students understand the activity.
- Ask.

- Ask.

- Read the word again.
- Do the task individually. Then check in pairs.
- Some pupis report their answer to the class.
