Aims and objectives:
- To introduce students with some new words relating to the topic “ Equal opportunities in education”.
- To help Ss read for specific information about gender equality in Vietnam’s education.
- By the end of the lesson, Ss are able to:
+ Improve listening and speaking skills.
+ Skim and scan a text for main ideas and specific information.
+ Understand some more about the topic.
+ Use vocabulary related to the topic of the lesson through exercises.
- To educate students to know that they should get more knowledge about gender equality.
Language: Vocabulary: enroll, eliminate, discrimination.
Skills: Integrated skills, mainly reading skills
Attitude: Students take active part in activities and tasks in class.
Techniques: Questions- answers, discussion, explanation, definition, game.

Activity 1 (Task 1):Listen and read
- Shows a picture and asks them some questions
- Asks Ss to guess the topic: Equal opportunities in education
- Provides Ss with some new words by definition, synonym, …, and asks Ss to guess the meaning of the words.
- Asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus and individually.
Activity 1:
- Plays the recording
- Asks Ss to listen to the dialogue
- Asks Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs.
- Calls some pairs to play the roles

- Asks Ss to read the conversation again and answer the questions on page 6 in pairs
- Asks SS to do this task by playing a game “ Who is faster?”

+ Says the number of sentences and asks each team to give their choose.
+ The team have more right answer will be the winner
- Shows the answer and asks Ss to copy down
