- Introduce the icons in the book and get Ss to do like that.
- Listen and repeat.
3/ Show Ss how to greet in English lessons.
- Say “ Good morning teacher / Good afternoon teacher.”
-Ask Ss to repeat and say greet.
- Show how to greet at the end of the lesson.
“Good bye, teacher”.
- Practice saying greeting the teacher.

- Sentence patterns: Hello/Hi. I’m + name.

- Greeting.

1. Look, listen and repeat. (13’)
*Teachnew words: Hello, Hi, I, I am, Mai, Nam, Quan, Phong, Hoa, Miss Hien
- T gives each picture to each word and askSsto give the English words.
- T guides Ss to read and pronounce.
- Ss read in choral, groups and individual.
*Teachthe dialogue:
- T Asks Ss to look at the picture and introduction.
- Picture A:This is Mai.
And this is Nam.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to the recording & repeat the dialogue between Mai&Nam.
- Play the CD & Ss listen.
- Play the CD again, pausing after each line for SS to repeat.
- Divide class into two groups. G1 is Mai. G2 is Nam.
- Play the CD again for the whole class to repeat.
- Picture B:This is Mai.
And this is Nam.
- Ask Ss practice the same picture A.

*Teach the sentence patterns.
- Ask Ss give the word to greet and say about their name.
- Guide to read and explain the sentences.
2. Point and say. (8’)
- Ask Ss to look at picture. Tell them that they are going to practice saying the sentence pattern in pairs:
- Do the task with one Ss as a model.
- Ss work in pairs, using Hello/Hi. I’m + name.and the words in each picture as a cue.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task in front of the class.







3. Let’s talk. (8’)
- Ask Ss to look at picture. Tell them that they are going to practice saying the sentence pattern in groups:
- Call on some groups to perform the task in front of the class.
