Aims and objectives:
- To introduce students with some new words relating to the topic “Further education”.
- To introduce students some tips about intonation on wh-questions
- To provide students structure and usage of the present perfect continuous
- By the end of the lesson, Ss are able to:
+ Vocabulary: enrich their vocabulary with words and phrases related to further education
+ Pronunciation: read wh- questions in correct intonation
+ Grammar: distinguish the present perfect and the present perfect continuous
- To educate students to know that they should get more knowledge about school education system in Viet Nam as to broaden their horizons.

Skills: Integrated skills, mainly reading skills
Attitude: Students take active part in activities and tasks in class.

Intonation on wh-questions










Activity 3:(Task 1)Listen and repeat the following questions from the conversation in GETTING STARTED. Pay attention to the intonation of yes/no questions and wh-questions.







Activity 4: ( Task 2) Listen and repeat with the correct intonation. Then practise saying the sentences with a partner

- Introduces the tips:
+ Speakers use rising intonation at the end of yes/no questions to check whether the information is correct or not.
+ Speakers use falling intonation at the end of wh-questions to ask for information.
