LESSON 4: WRITE

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to write a postcard to their friends about their trip.
II. PREPARATIONS: Book, sub-board, computer

1/ Warm-up: (6’)
- Ask Ss to look at the picture and call out the names.








- Lead to the lesson.

- Observe and call out the name.

2/ Pre-writing: (10’)
- Give some words, and ask Ss to complete the postcard used with suitable words.














- Call some Ss to give the answers.

- Complete the postcards in 7’ with a partner.

- Give the answers.

3/ While-writing: (19’)
( Activity 1:
- Elicit Ss to make the outline.
+ place: name of the place
+ your feeling about the people: nice, friendly,hospitable
+ weather: warm,cold, sunny…
+ who yo meet/see: old friends, teachess…
+ what you see; parks, zoos, nueseums….
+ what you buy: sonvenirs, books…..
( Activity 2: 15-minutes test
- Ask Ss to write the postcard to get 15 minutes mark.


- Pay attention and take note.








- Write individually.

4/ Post-writing: (8’)
- Choose some postcards to correct.

I’m having a wonderful time in Ha Long Bay. The people here are very hospitable and friendly. We’re lucky, the weatherr has been fine and sunny during the trip. I saw a lot of caves here. They are really beautiful. I bought lots of souvernirs.
