I/ Aim:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know what they should do in the situations which require first – aid.
II/Language contents:
♣Grammar:
-Future simple with “will/shall”.
-Making requests, offers and promises using modal “will”.
♣Vocabulary:
- ambulance , emergency , wound , conscious , bleed , burn , promise , treatment.
III/Techniques:
-Kim’s game, Matching, True/false statements, Filling gap, pairwork.
IV/Teaching aids:
-Pictures.
V/Procedures:

Content
-Has Ss play game “Kim’s game”.
-Has Ss open their books and look at the things on page 80. Tells them these things are often used for first-aids.
-The group having the most right English words is the winner.
-Lets Ss give the names of the things. Asks Ss to discuss and write down what they would do in these situations which require first-aids.
-Calls on some groups to give their
answers and corrects.
-Ss take note.
-T. asks some questions and Ss answer.
+Who is talking? ( A girl student is
talking with a nurse on the phone.
+Where are they?( The nurse is at Bach
Mai hospital. The girl is at Quang Trung
school.
+What happened? ( A student is hurt. She fell of her bike and hit her head on the road.
-T. explains Newwords.
-Ss guess and give the meaning of Nws.
+Explaining: A vehicle equipped to
carry sick or injured people to hospital.
+Using explaination: awake and able to
see, hear and think.
+Question: When do we need an
ambulance?
+Explaining: When you have a cut, the
cut will bleed…:
+Explaining: Injury caused by violence.
+Using: Picture
+Using: Translation
+Using: Translation
-T. reads and Ss repeat.(Chorally, individually).
-T. has Ss rewrite the words in their notebooks.
-T. checks Newwords again by using:
Matching.
-T. plays the tape twice.
-Ss listen and practice the dialogue in pairs.
-Ss practice the dialogue in front of the class. T. corrects Ss’ pronunciation.
-T. asks Ss to work in pairs and answer part 2.
-Ss do. Each student does a sentence and writes it on the board.
-T. corrects.
-Ss takenote.
-T. gives sentences.
-Ss choose T/F and correct the false sentences.
-T. corrects and gives Ss marks.
-T. asks Ss to work in groups.
-T. asks Ss to complete the paragraph.
-T. gives feedback.
-T. writes on the board and explains how to do the exercise. Ss takenote.

*Possible answer:
-A girl has a burn on her arm ( use cold water / ice to ease the pain; cool the burns; cover the burned area, etc.
