Educational aim:Ss will be able to listen and understand some information about a forest fire.
a. General knowledge: By the end of the lesson:
- Ss will be able to listen and talk about some causes of a forest fire.
- Ss will be able to know how to care for their great forests and save them from fire.
b. Language: words to talk about a forest fire.
Skill: Listening for gist and specific information.
Method and teaching aids:
Method: Integrated, mainly communicative.
Teaching aids: textbook, blackboard, chalk, computer, screen, etc.

WARM – UP: Guessing Game (5’)

- Teacher gives instruction: “First, I would like to divide class into two teams: team A and team B. The representative of each team will in turn choose a piece of paper and try to express it to your group in 1 minute by using words or sentences. But you are not allowed to say the words in your paper. Then the rest of the team will guess what the words in the paper are. If your answer is correct, you will get one mark for one word. Which team has more correct answer will be the winner”.
- Listen to teacher
Team A:forest, water, erosion, medicine, tree, sea, electricity.
Team B:animal, plant, damage, grass, river, scientist, power.

- Teacher checks students’ understanding of instruction.
- Reply to teacher.

- Give time for students to play the game.

- Work in groups and guess the words given.

- Check students’ work and give feedback.
- Receive scores based on their correct answers.

-Lead-in: “As you can see in the previous lesson, forest is very important to our life. We have to protect forest for our better lives. So today, we’re going to listen some information about causes and effects of a forest fire.”
