Warm up
Let’s sing a song “ Hello”
- Introduce the Hello Song, Page 7.
- Play the recording and listen the Hello Song
- Play the recording again for pupils to sing each line of the rhythm.
- T asks Ss to sing together and clap their hands.
- T:Asks students to look at the picture in the book and ask:
1. Who are they in the picture?
2. Where are they?
- Ss: look at the picture in the book and answer
- T: play the recording
- Ss listen follow in their book.
- Ss listen and repeat in chorus two times.
- T: check and corect.
- Read in group/ pair: One repeats Nam’s part, the other repeats Linda’part.
- T: elicits the structure.
- Ss: give new structure sentence:
- T:Teach vocabulary:
Note: difference between Hi / Hello.
Hi is very informal. Pupils can use with friends but not with an adult, e.g a teacher.
Hello is also informal and friendly but more formal than Hi. It can be used with teachers and other adults.
Setting the sense: Have pupils look at pictures. Asks them to identify the characters in the pictures.
- Ss write down new words and read after T.
- Check vocabulary: What and where
- Ss: play game: What and where ( Whole class)
- T: model sentence.
- Ss look and find out the model sentences.
- T: monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary.
- Ss point the pictures and practise

Hi. I’m + name
I’m + name (I’m = I am)
- Check and correct.
- 2 - 3 pairs perform their task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments.
- T: have pupils look at pictures on page 7 of the Student Book.
- Ss: look at pictures on page 7 of the Student Book.
-T: elicit the name of the characters in the pictures. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. Guess the answer
- T:play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes. Check their guess.
- Ss: listen and tick the boxes
-T: asks Ss to compare the answer with the partner.
- Ss: compare the answer with the partner.
- T: play the recording again pupils check their answers. T give the answer.
-Ss: check their answer

Do exercises in the workbook.
Learn by heart the new words and structures.
