V. Procedure
1. Warm up
- Ss recite the chant in Unit 14, page 29
2. Presentation
- Ask ps to open their book to page 30. Ask ps to identify the characters and what they are doing in the picture. Tell ps that they are going to hear Mr Thanh and Mrs Lan talk about their daughter. Use the large picture to set up the situation.
- Give the meaning of the vocabulary and explain the new structures:
What’s Mai doing ?
She’s skipping.
- Play the recording three times and ask ps to repeat each line
- Devide the class into two groups, have 1 say the question and the other answer and turn.
3. Practice
- Ss look at the pictures of task 2, page 30
- Teach new words: reading, cooking, singing, skating, jumping and running.
- Ask ps to repeat a few times
- T makes a model: a. what’s he doing?
He’s reading.
- Ps repeat the question and answer.
- Ss practice in pairs
- T calls some Ss to check, comments their pronunciation
4. Personalization
- Ss play a game to review vocabulary: Slap the board






5. Homework
- Ss learn new words by heart and practice writing them at home.

1. Warm up
- Ss play a game “slap the word” to review vocabulary: reading, cooking, singing, skating, jumping and running
2. Pre-speaking
- T reminds the sentence pattern: What’s she/he doing?
She’s /he’s …..ing.
- T makes a model: a. What’s she doing?
She’s cooking.
- Ss repeat this sentence a few times.
3. While-speaking
- Ss work in pairs to ask and answer the question.
- T calls some pairs to practice in front of the class. The rest of the class gives comments

- T tells ps that they are going to chant, using the large picture and the chant from page 31
- Give the meaning of robot
- Play the recording cd track 31 for ps listen and mime the chant
- Play the recording the second time for ps repeat each line.
- Devide class into 2 groups, 1 group chant the other mime and turn.
- Groupwork: ps practice saying and miming the chant.
- Call on a pair to practice in front of the class.
- The whole class say the chant in chorus to reinforce.
5. Homework
- Ss recite and mime the chant at home.
