I. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
* Language content: - To introduce the subject
- To help the students review some tenses
* Language function: To enable the students to practise tenses they learned
* Educational aim: The students are aware of the importance of learning English, of the syllabus

- Present progressive tense
2. Skills: Integrated skills:

II. TEACHER AND PREPARATION:

4. preparation: Text book, note book, pens etc

III. PROCEDURE IN CLASS:
1. Stabilization: (3ms) a. Warm – up: Greetings
b. Checking absence: absent today?
2. Checking up previous knowledges: Time needed: (5ms)
* Questions: What do you usually do in your summer vacation? What are you doing?
* Keys to questions: I often stay at home / play games? I am studying English

I. Introduce the subject:
- Syllabus (page 3 – 9)
- Grammar (page 168-177)
- Glossary (page 178-191)
II. Review tenses:
* Simple present tense:
- Usage: daily activities
- Formation:

Does + SV?
* Simple present tense:
- Usage: activities are happening at the time of speaking.
- Formation:
S + be + Ving (am / is/ are)
Be + S + Ving?
S + benot + Ving.
II. PRE- PRACTICE.
- Introduces the syllabus of English 7 page 8 ( 9, grammar (p.168) glossary (p.178)
- Reviews two tenses
- Gives some sentence and asks sts to recognize
What tenses: (handouts)
1. I usually get up at 6.00
2. He usually get up at 5.00
3. What time do you get up?
4. What time does he get up?
5. I like cold water
6. I like cold water
7. We are studying English
8. What are you studying?
9. We are not playing games
- Asks Ss to draw out the formation and to tell the usage of these tenses (I,II)
- Listen to the teacher.
- Listen and answer.
- Say the usage of these tenses.
III. WHILE- PRACTICE
- Asks students to practise with their partners to finish the exercise I, II, III.
- Work in pairs
- Circles to help students
- Asks the Ss to compare their answers
- Ask for help if necessary.
- Compare their answers.
- Asks one or two students to write their answer on bb.
- Write their answers on black – board
- Gives marks and remarks
- Asks the Ss to do II, and III in the same way
- Listen to the remarks.
- Do II, III (exercises) in the some way (=pair work)
IV. POST- PRACTICE.
- Asks the Ss to make a dialogue similar to this

V. CONSOLIDATION
- What tense do we use to describe an action that happens repeatedly? An action that is happening at the time of speaking?
