Getting started - listen and read
I. Objectives:
- Give some ways to learn English well.
- Present reported speech, modal verb with if (review).
- Help Ss to proceduce the questions for an oral exam.
- Improve Ss’ listening and reading skills.
1, Language focus:
* Structures:
Reported speech: She asked me why I was learning English.
Modal verb with if: If you want to attend the course, you must pass the written examination. (review)
* Vocabulary: aspect, examiner, candidate, examination.
2, Language skills: speaking, listening, and reading skills.
