I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
+ Talk about their study habit.
+ Develop speaking and listening skills.
II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures, cassettle.

1/ Warm-up: (6’)
Chatting
- Chat with students:
1. How do you study English?
2. How do you do to improve it?
- Lead to the lesson.
- Answer the questions.
Suggested ideas:
1. Speak English to friends in class.
2. Watch English TV programs.
3. Read English stories.
4. Do grammar exercises.
5. Listen to the English radio program.
6. Listen to English songs.
- Listen.
2/ Pre-speaking: (15’)
- Ask Ss to look at the questions and the cues on the page 48.
1. When do you do your homework?
2. Who helps you with your homework?
3. How much time do you spend on English?
4. Which subject do you need to improve?
5. What do you do to improve your English?
- Answer the questions.
( I do my homework after dinner.
( My brother helps me with my homework.
( I often spend half an hour on English.
( I need to improve English.
( I read all the lessons I have learnt, and do the grammar exercises.
3/ While-speaking: (14’)
- Have Ss ask and answer the questions in pairs.
- Call some pairs to present their dialogue.
- Ask Ss to report their partner’s answer.
- Work in pair.
