WARM UP (4 minutes)
- Turn on the cassette to let students listen a famous song of the World Cup1998 and ask some questions
1. What is the name of song?
2. What is the song about?

3. Do you know any information about World Cup?

BEFORE YOU READ (7 minutes)
- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and name the team
- Let students work in pairs to answer the questions
1. Where was the 2002 World Cup?
2. Which team became the champion then?
3. Which team was the runner-up?

WHILE YOU READ (20 minutes)
Task 1
- Let students open their books and read silently

- Play the CD three times
- Let Ss read themselves aloud for 2 minutes then for 1.5 minutes
- Instruct and ask students to do the task 1
- Ask Ss to give their answers

- Correct and check Ss’ answers
