I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen for specific information to fill in a report card.
1. Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:
a. Knowledge:
- Grammar: Wh-questions, adverbs of manner, Should
- Vocabulary: Related to “Study habits”
b. Skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing.
c. Attitude: - Ss will be educated about study.
2. Capacity is formed and developed for students
- Self-learning capability.
- Communicative competence
- Cooperation capacity
II. Preparation
1. Teacher: - Lesson plan, book, color chalks, pictures, MP3
2. Students: - Books, notebooks, pen, ruler …
III. Students’ activities
1. Warm up (5’) Brainstorming

- T asks ss to write the ideas on the board
- Ss write the ideas on the board.
- T corrects and gives marks if necessary.

2. Knowledge formation activities (36’)

- T asks Ss to look at “Listen” on page 48 and asks: “What’s this? How many words do you know?”
- T gives new-words, writes on the board, guides Ss to read, asks the meaning.
- Ss read after the teacher (chorus, individually), give the meaning.
- T corrects if necessary.
- T plays the smart pen “Listen” .
- Ss listen and check their prediction individually.
- Ss listen again and write notes then read aloud their listening.
- T gives feedback.
- T asks Ss to answer some questions about Sarah Chen’s report card.
- Ss answer in pairs (the whole class then in closed pairs and opened pairs).
- T corrects the mistakes.
-Ss write the answers in their notebooks.
T asks Ss to complete the new report card for themselves.
- Ss complete the report card in the last second term of grade 7.
- T moves around and helps Ss if necessary.
- A student writes on the board.
