INTRODUCE ABOUT ENGLISH SUBJECT.
I. Objectives:
- Help Ss have general knowledge of a new subject and know how to study English.
Ss know the contents of the “Tieng Anh 6”.
- By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to understand something about English, know how to learn English effectively, know the content of “Tieng Anh 6”.
- To present the subject, student book, workbook, the way to learn English.
II. Preparation:
- Lesson plan, textbook, workbook.
III. Procedures:

- No checking.
3. New lesson:
1. Introduce oneself (about the teacher) and present the way to greet.
- Good morning/ afternoon…
- How are you?
- I’m fine, thank you…
2. Introduce the subject and textbook.
- How many units are there in English book?
- Present how many lessons are there in each unit.
- Nowadays, English is a popular language in the world. It’s important to master English.
3. Structure of textbook “Tieng Anh 6”.
- Ask Ss to open their books.
- Introduce the structure of the “Tieng Anh 6”.
- This textbook contents 12 units for the 2 semester (2 books). Each unit includes 7 parts (7 periods)
4. Present the way to learn English well:
- Prepare lesson, notebooks …
5. Present the class statements:
-Teacher’s statements:

I. Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students can know the key language and structures to be learnt in this unit.

2. Structures: The present simple and the present continuous tense.

Contents

1.Warm up:
(Network)
- Have Ss work in 2 teams
- Get Ss to write down vocabs about school things.
- Give feed back and decide which is the winner of the game.
- Provide some more vocabs about school things.
2. Presentation:
- Write the title on the board ‘A special day’. Explain the meaning of ‘special’ and ask Ss to guess what the picture might show or what the conversation might be about.
- Let Ss open their books and check their answers.
- Ask Ss questions about the picture.
- Play the recording
3. Practice:
- Ask Ss to read the dialogue again and decide they are true or false.
- Allow Ss to share answers before discussing as a class.
- Tell Ss to refer back to the conversation to find the expressions.





- Practice saying them together.

- Ask Ss to role-plays the short conversations in pairs before creating short role-plays.
- Ask Ss to extend the conversations.

- Play the recording.
- Let Ss read the poem in the right intonation and rhythm and check their understanding of the poem.
- Ask Ss to write a poem about their partner, then read them poem aloud.
