- Cut out a shark and a schoolgirl / boy from card
- Draw some steps, then stick the cut out girl / boy on top of the steps, the shark in the sea
- Draw 10 gaps for the word “ television “
- Get SS into 2 teams ( or ask them as a whole class ) for a letter in the alphabet
- They have to try to guess the word
- If they guess wrongly, the boy/ girl has to go down one step and go on girl / boy will go up one step
- Tell SS about the topic: This is a thing which helps us know the information in the world
- The game continues until students find out the word “ television “ and the shark can’t eat the girl / boy
- Ask SS the meaning of the wordTELEVISION
- T asks SS some questions
- T teahes new words By:
+ definition: a person who owns something
+ example
+ definition: to come together in one place
+ definition: to become or make something/ somebody different

- T checks new words by “What and Where” game
- Ss play the game

- Hang the statements poster on the board
- Ask Ss to guess which statements are true and which are false
- Give the feedback





- Ask Ss to read the text on page 142 and check their predictions



- Put the answers given on the board
- Have Ss work in pairs to find out the questions of these answers



- Ask Ss to complete the missing words in the gaps
- Compare with their partners
- Give the feedback








- Teacher write some notes on the board
- Students copy them down in their notebooks
- Teacher asks Ss to prepare Unit 14 ( A3 )

not have a TV set. The people with TV

life is more comfotable. But neighbors don’t know each other as well as they
did in the past
