Lesson 96: A-We are the world (A4,5,6,7 )
I. Objective
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to
-ask and answer about nationality and language
-write a postcard about their vacation
II. Language content
-Vocabulary: postcard, be on vacation ,a lot of,interesting -> interesting places,tower,wet,nationality,language
-Grammar:
*Ask and answer about nationality:
What + be(am/is/are) + his/her/your+ nationality?
S+be (am/is/are)+nationality (Chinese, Vietnamese...)
*Ask and answer about language:
Which language + do/does+ S + speak?
S+ speak/speaks + language.

I.Warm up ( 5 mins ): Jumbled words
-T asks ss to write the right words in 2 groups.
-T gives feedback





II.Presentation( 15mins )
*Teach vocabulay
-T teaches new words by showing the pictures and giving the meaning







-T guides ss to pronounce the words in the table in A3
-T asks ss a question: Where are you from?
-T calls a s to answer aloud before class
-T sets the scene:”If you want to ask a person about nationality and language,what question do you use?Today,we are going to learn how to ask and answer about natonality and language”
*Teach model sentences
-T elicits from ss to introduce the model sentences
















III.Practice(10mins )
-T asks ss to work in pairs to make dialogue by using the table in ex.3 page 155
-T and a s model first
-T calls some pairs to present before class.
-T gives feedback









IV. Production ( 15mins )
-T asks ss to imagine they are not VietNamese and make dialogue by using the questions page 157 in pairs
-T calls some pairs to present before class
-T gives feedback














-T sets the scene:” When you travel to another countries ,I think you will write a postcard to your friends to talk about your vacation.Today we are going to learn how to write a postcard”
-T asks ss to read the postcard from Nhan on page 156
-T ask ss to work in groups of 4 to write a postcard to Nhan from Minh by using the information given
-T gives feedback
