GETTING STARTED + LISTEN AND READ
I. Objectives
1. Knowledge, skill, attitude:
- To help Ss know more about Vietnamese traditional aodai.
+ Vocabulary: The present perfect, the passive (review): be + past participle.
+ Grammar: Related to clothing.
- Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Attitude: Ss will understand and love Vietnamese traditional aodai.
2. Capacity can be formed and developed
- Communication competence
- Cooperative capacity
II. Preparation
1. Teacher: lesson plane, book, color chalks, pictures, cassette and tape
2. Students: books, notebooks, pen, ruler …

b. Do you think it is very beautiful?
c. Do you know any traditional clothing in other countries?

- T explains the requirement, hang the pictures and made model a.
- Ss look at the pictures, pay attention to teacher’s explanation and understand.
-T explains some new words from the pictures.
- Ss work in pairs: ask and answer about pictures b,c,d,e and f.
- T calls some pairs to ask and answer before the class.
- T checks and corrects students’ mistakes if necessary.
- T asks, Ss answer the questions to lead in part
- Ss answer teacher’s questions,(if Ss can’t answer the questions, they can find the answers from the text)

Look at the dress these people are wearing. Decide where each person comes from.
Ex: picture a

- She comes from Japan because she is wearing a kimono.

2. Listen and read

- T calls some Ss to read new words before the class in order to check and correct students’ pronunciation.
- Ss listen to the tape once more.
