Game: “Spinner Game”
- Tell students how the game is played. Give an
example.
- Prepare a spinner plate, a pen and some
pictures about free time activities. Arrange the
pictures in a circle around the spinner plate.
- Have students work in four groups.
- Ask students from each group to take turns to
put a pen in the middle of the spinner plate,
then spin the pen to find out the picture the pen
points to. Then ask them to ask and answer the
question with the picture.
e.g. Student A: What do you like doing in your
free time?
Student B: I like going for a walk.
- Ask students to continue the game until all
students in each group can play the game.
- Praise students if they play the game well.

students to listen to and repeat the sentences in
both bubbles a few times.
- Repeat the same procedure with Pictures b, c,
and d. Then let students practise asking and
answering questions in pairs. Go around the
classroom to offer help if necessary.
- Invite a few pairs to act out the exchanges in
front of the class.

Game: “Bomb Star”
- Tell students how the game is played. Give an
example.
- Divide the class into three groups.
- Ask two students from each group to choose a
star, then answer the question.
e.g. Student A: What do you do at the weekend?
Student A: I usually listen to music.
- Let students answer correctly to get some
points or a bomb corresponding to the number
of hamburgers.
- The group with the most points wins. Praise
the winner.
