- Have students look at Pictures a and b and
identify the characters in the pictures.
 Who are they?
 Guess what they are talking about.
- Ask students to look at Picture a. Play the
recording for them to listen.
- Play the recording again, sentence by
sentence, for students to listen and repeat in
chorus and individually. Correct their
pronunciation where necessary.
- Repeat the same procedure with Picture b.
- Invite a few pairs to the front of the classroom
to listen to and repeat the sentences in the

- Elicit the missing words in the speech bubbles
and write them on the board. Get students to
say the completed sentences.
- Put students in groups of four to ask and
answer about personal information. Go around
the classroom to offer support where necessary.
- Invite some pairs to practise asking and
answering questions about personal information
in front of the class and correct their
pronunciation where necessary.

- Write the question and answers on the board.
- Prepare numbers on the wheel.
- Spin the wheel to choose two numbers. Invite
two students with those numbers, one student
ask the question “Can you tell me about
yourself?”, and one student answer the
question.
- Ask their friends to check their pronunciation.
- Continue spinning the wheel for students to
practice the sentence structures.
- Praise students if they play the game well.

Game: “Musical cards”
- Stick the flashcards (sports, colours, animals,
food) on the board. Ask students to say the
words related to the flashcards.
- Hand out the flashcards to different students
around the class.
- Play the song All about me! (Track 8). Ask
students to pass the flashcards to the students
next to them while the music is playing.
- Stop the music suddenly. Invite a student to
ask the question, e.g. “What's your favoutrite
(animal)?”. Ask student who is holding the
flashcard answer the question, e.g. It's (a
dolphin).
- Play the music again and repeat the activity.
- Ask students to check their friends'
pronunciation.
- Praise students if they play the game well.

STUDENTS' ACTIVITIES
- Practise asking and answering questions about
someone's favourite things in front of the class.

- Say the words related to the flashcards.

- Pass the flashcards to the students next to
them while the music is playing.
- Follow the teacher's instructions.

- Continue playing the game.
- Check their friends' pronunciation.
