- Have students look at Pictures a and b and
identify the characters in the pictures by asking
some questions.

 Guess what they are talking about.
- Ask students to look at Picture a. Play the
recording for them to listen.
- Play the recording again, sentence by
sentence, for students to listen and repeat in
chorus and individually. Correct their
pronunciation where necessary.

Game: “Pass the ball”
- Tell students that they are going to pass the
ball and say the sentences to give instructions
- Give a ball to one student.
- Play the music. Ask her/ him to pass the ball
to the second one. The second student passes
the ball to the third one, and so on.
- Stop the music. Ask the student who is
holding the ball to say a sentence, e.g. Close
your book, please.
- Continue to play the game until all the words
are said.
- Praise students if they do the activity well.

- Play the game. One student in each group
gives instructions for his / her group to act out.
Students who perform the wrong action are out
of the game.
