    OBJECTIVES
    Language objectives : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to
    Speak with their partners to get information about the Asian games
    Improve student’s ability to read numbers and name of countries
    Students know how to read information from the table and make their own ideas
    Contend objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to realize the important of playing sports
    LANGUAGE FOCUS
    Vocabulary: Name of the countries, names of sports, number
    Grammar : past simple tense
    Teaching Aids: textbook, handout, chalk, board.

    Warm-up :
    Game: lucky number
    Name of a countries and sport in Asia beginning with these letters
    Example : V: Vietnam ; volleyball

    -Asks students to listen to the instruction
    Listen to the teacher’s instruction and play game
    Expected answer :

    Pre-speaking
    Asks students to look at the table page 139 and listen to the teacher
    -tells students how to read the ordinal numbers, years.
    -Pick up some students to speak out some ordinal number and years
    - ask students the tense they use to talk about the event happened in the past
    - asks students about the kind of sentences when talk about time and place that the Asian Games were held (passive or active)
    - write down some model sentences on the board
    A: when and where were … Asian Games held?

    B: How many countries took part in the Games

    A: how many sports were there at the Games

    - students repeat in chorus and individually
    - Some students stand up and speak out these words
